Description

The Super Glide Almighty model is the pull-no-punches / top-of-the-line offering from Portland, OR based Koll Guitar Co. As with many of Saul Koll's guitars, this 2009 LP Custom inspired SGA masterfully blends elegant and refined looks with a more primitive, crank-the-closest-Marshall rock-n-roll soul. This is just a stunningly gorgeous guitar, no two ways about it.

We love the slightly chunky, 10-14" radius, medium C neck carve. This is where the SGA veers more towards, say, Gretsch than Gibson - it's a touch flatter feeling than your average Les Paul. It should be noted that the Bigsby works perfectly - cue up your Neil Young tones and have at it, it'll take a pounding and stay in tune.

This is a loud, resonant, and alive instrument when played acoustically...plugged in, the Wolfetone Marshallhead MKII humbuckers this SGA is equipped with really shine (a previous owner installed these). Authoritative, bold, mid-range drenched tones work really well into both clean and overdriven amps.

Condition: Excellent. Light tarnishing on the gold hardware (to be expected), a few light indentations on the back, light arm wear on the top (where your right arm rests on the top), one superficial scratch on the top near the neck pickup, very, very light fret wear. This was a well taken care of guitar.

Priced with a hardshell case.
