Anytime we get a call about an available guitar from the good folks at Koll Guitar Co., the answer is given without hesitation - yes, we'll take it! Aside from being a remarkably cool looking guitar, this Koll Truck Green Junior Glide Special was built for Norah Jones / Tracey Chapman guitarist, Adam Levy, making our decision that much easier.
The Junior Glide Special is the Koll version of the dual P-90 classic. It features the finest-grade seasoned mahogany body and set neck, rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots, and a Bigsby B5 w/a bridge made in the USA by Jason Schroeder. This particular guitar is loaded with a set of TV Jones T-Armond pickups (in P90 mounts) - think Tele pickup on steroids. Sweet top end coupled with great low end punch and the perfect amount of midrange (less mid-heavy than a P90, more mid-heavy than a Fender single coil). They sound fantastic with some gain or clean, your call.
Condition: Excellent+. We only noticed one or two very small/shallow indentations on the guitar and a small black mark near the output jack, otherwise, it's pretty close to new. No fret wear.
No frills or fancy stuff, this Junior Glide Special is a stripped down hot rod. With this guitar there's nothing between your fingers and massive tone, making it perfect for almost any style of music (save for the extreme / high gain variety). Priced with Koll gig bag.
