Since the 1970s, James Tyler has been a fixture in the music scene of L.A., specifically the studio scene, with a reputation for building world-class instruments based on the feedback acquired from years of working closely with studio legends and performers Michael Landau, Dan Huff, Buzz Feiten, Dean Parks, Abe Laboriel, and Wayne Krantz (to name a few).

"Today, the guitars are built using state-of-the-art technology including computerized milling machines, laser machines, 3d modeling stations, and aerospace engineering to ensure utmost quality and precision in each product that is made. Technology, however, never takes precedence over what James calls “the human factor”. In this digital age, many computer-built products feel sterile and like machines themselves – that is not what you get with a Tyler. James draws the line to ensure that technology remains a tool in the hands of expert luthiers, and never a human replacement."

The Tyler Classic maintains a more traditional look (stunning gloss Hazmat Shmear finish aside) while delivering all the modern refinements Tylers are known for. One of the highlights of a Tyler is the neck and fretwork. Simply put? There are few guitars more comfortable to play, period. Perfectly shaped, satin finished....effortless is the word that comes to mind.

Wired in an HSS configuration (Tyler neck & middle pickups, Tyler humbucker), volume, tone, tone w/a 5-way switch, this Classic delivers a familiar hot-rodded Strat experience, but the tones are more sophisticated and refined. Versatility is the name of the game with a Tyler and this guitar can deliver just about any Strat sound you're looking for with ease.

"The operation at James Tyler Guitars has grown slowly over the years with no partners, no investors, and no compromises. All the work is still done in Los Angeles, California in the same spirit as when it all started. A ton of sweat equity goes into each instrument, so you can pick it up and make it yours from the very first moment."

Condition: Excellent. Normal, light signs of previous ownership are present.
