The Tomahawk model is arguably the most original design in the High Spirit lineup. A slim and lightweight solidbody with asymmetrically pointed double cutaways remind us of some of the great European and Japanese electrics from the 50s and 60s, but with a much higher build quality and distinct level of craftsmanship. Think USA made Fender but with a more hands-on and dialed in feel.
Connor is a big fan of using Pine on these models, and for good reason. These guitars are nice and light with great acoustic resonance and beautiful grain structure. Hard to argue when they look and sound like this one! The Chunky C profile might be our in-house favorite of the three carves offered - great feel that gives us a little bit of a Soft V in the first position with a taper to a rounder C, all with a comfortable shoulder.
Custom wound "Hot Dog" pickups are Connor's own take on a P90, with a smooth and dynamic response well suited for clean and gained up tones. The custom made bridge and tailpiece really speak to the dedication of the build and tie the whole aesthetic together beautifully.
Simply put, the Tomahawk models are fun, inviting guitars that offer simplicity without sacrificing tone and playability. At this price point, you might not find a better valued bolt-on electric on the market.
