The Growler shares a bit of its lineage with the slab mahogany body double cut of the late 1950s and early 1960s, but adds a level of refinement and individuality that undoubtedly sheds any notion that it's just another take on an old Gibson.

The chambered Mahogany body is coupled with a Maple top, finished in a gorgeous satin nitrocellulose "Admiral" Blue finish, top-bound in grained ivoroid. As far as two-tone aesthetics go, few seem to do it better than Trevor. It's become somewhat of a calling card of Healy finish work.

The Medium C carve neck profile is reminiscent of some of the 63/64 era Gibson neck carves, albeit it with a much smoother taper and leaner shoulders. This neck plays fast without losing some of the fullness we appreciate in bigger necked guitars. There's almost a slight hint of a Soft V there. This is where we start to see (or feel, really) the fruits of Trevor's labor - neck shape and feel, fret work, and overall playability are very well dialed in.

A pair of PAF-spec humbuckers are outfitted in each Growler from this batch, wound in-house by Ohad Barbibay. Ohad had wound some amazing sounding pickup sets for previous builds, so we were thrilled to be able to experience his humbucker sets! Clear, open, and harmonically rich without sacrificing authority - they're the perfect compliment to the Growler's natural acoustic voice and dynamics.

Trevor is crafting some exceptional guitars these days, and we're thrilled to represent a builder whose talent, passion, and artistry shines bright in their work.
