Why We Love This

In 1963, an aspiring classical guitar student ventured with his teacher to visit Guillermo Del Pilar's New York studio and pick out a proper, concert-level instrument. Such was the allure of that guitar that he would go on to play it for the next five decades. Indeed, this is a fantastic vintage classical guitar, with a full, robust voice.

Expertly repaired top and side cracks (the latter only discernible via the brief row of small, clean cleats) and are the only work of note. Otherwise all original, aside from a replacement, bone saddle.

Please note: Used instruments are, well, used. We pride ourselves on thoroughly vetting, and carefully photographing, each pre-owned instrument we sell, but many of them carry subtle signs of handling that can escape even the most discerning eye. If you have questions about the condition of this instrument, we invite you to call us for an in-hand description. We're here to help!
