So what would happen if you crossed a mahogany body/P90 loaded SG with, say, a Telecaster? That was the basic question we posed to Don Grosh and crew and, per usual, they knocked it out of the park!
The Medium/Large Roundback neck carve (.85"-.95") is a highlight of this guitar - it was something we noticed immediately when sitting down for a playing session. This guitar easily outplays most Teles on the market - meaning, this isn't the sort of Tele that will fight you - it plays as well as a Strat. The fretwork is outstanding (as always).
The Grosh-wound G90 pickups sound incredible. Coupled with a half Tele bridge, you retain the twang of a Tele, but the mids are so much fuller and fatter than a traditional Tele. It pushed our Magnatone Panoramic Stereo amp into the sweetest breakup that would give an LP Jr or Special a run for its money. That sort of vibe mixed with the twang, clarity, and bite of a Tele? We're sold. Take our money.
Grosh guitars are always flawlessly made, lightweight, extremely resonant, and ultra-deluxe playing instruments - they straddle the line between vintage feel and modern leaning features and build quality in a way that we find incredibly inspiring. Priced with custom fitted hardshell case.
