Huge-sounding 00-42 from luthier, John Greven, just in for consignment! Greven is a devotee of the old-Martin style; and it shows in the construction details (including the Spanish Cedar neck featuring birds-beak headstock joint). Gorgeous, old-growth Brazilian Rosewood back & sides and a Lutz Spruce top combine to produce incredible warmth and fatness in the high end -- a tonal element that's most seductive when the guitar is played in a flatpicked style a la Norman Blake. Overall condition is excellent, with no significant cosmetic blemishes and a 100% solid structure. The guitar is currently set up for a flatpicker, but shows plenty of saddle height should the next owner desire lower action. Priced with Superior hard case.
