This beautiful 1928 Gibson TB Granda (serial number 9152-44) has just come in for consignment, from the grandson of its original owner! While it certainly exhibits clear, muscular tone as a tenor banjo, its true value may be as a conversion candidate for a bluegrass player interested in a pre-war Mastertone. The pot assembly, including its flange and 40-hole archtop tone ring, is completely original and undisturbed. And while the armest shows a bit of tarnishing, gold-plated pre-war banjos don't come around looking like this too often.
Condition: as mentioned previously, there's not much to report. The banjo is all-original, and in lovely condition for its age. It's priced with its original hardshell case. On consignment; shipping calculated at checkout.
