1991 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Wine Red just into the shop! This is a very clean example of an early 90s LP that has remained all original - quite the feat for a guitar born in an era where modification was so common.
The Wine Red finish is deep and rich, almost Oxblood-like in certain lighting, and has started to show some light lacquer checking that looks amazing in person. It's the natural aging that so many great vintage pieces wear proudly, and seeing a guitar transform like this at 33 years old is really cool!
The stock '57 Classic humbuckers sound rich and fat with a nice springiness to the sound, and the full taper C neck plays fast and easy with clean original frets. There's some light evidence of wear, primarily on the back of the body (buckle rash) and a few marks on the back of the neck. The hardware is clean and fully functional as well.
Priced with the original brown Gibson hardshell case.
