Classic single-cut tone with some modern enhancements make this 1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior the perfect player.
The vintage Les Paul Junior tree continues to bear some incredible fruit! We just got this monster of a guitar in from a local customer, and it's everything you want in a great late 50s single-cut along with some slight refinements that make it the perfect player.
This is a nice, relatively clean example of a '57 LP Junior that retains its original Sunburst finish and is free of any cracks or breaks. In a previous life, it had an old Bigsby on it that's since been removed; a MusicCity Bridge 'Studfinder' wraparound bridge is currently installed and works perfectly, offering up excellent intonation and fundamental power.
A fresh set of medium vintage frets and a recent PLEK job by our fellow guitar guru TJ Thompson adds even more in the playability department. The full C neck carve is exactly what you want to feel with one of these guitars - meaty, but lean on the shoulders to make it super comfortable.
Single notes and chords alike ring out with great acoustic energy, and the slightly hot original P90 pickup hangs right along, with some beautiful sparkle, chime, and punch that these are famous for. All packaged up and weighing in at nearly 7 1/4 lbs, it's just a great example of how special these guitars can be.
Priced with a later 60s Gibson LP case.
