1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in original Cherry Sunburst. This is a particularly excellent sounding example of the early 70s Norlin Era LP Deluxe model, with a great playing neck and some of the best sounding mini HBs we can recall hearing in this model.
This guitar came to us with the original frets well worn down and some natural play wear throughout. It also suffered a "smile" crack in the headstock that had been unflatteringly touched up many years ago. It wasn't a full break, however, and we did some additional touch up in the area as needed. With some fresh frets installed, it transformed the playability of the guitar and showcased just how acoustically vibrant it was.
There's some light buckle rash on the back of the body and some dimpled wear in the finish on the top down by the lower bout, but it's otherwise a fairly clean guitar.
If minor headstock repair doesn't scare you, this is one of the best values in a vintage LP we can think of!
