1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Wine Red just in on consignment!

While clearly a player grade example by definition, this LP Custom has remained break-free with the original Wine finish and some exceptional sounding vintage T-Top humbuckers. Additional changes include installation of an older MIJ ABR-1 bridge, tuner, pickup ring and knob replacement. The guitar came to us with modern pots but retained its original harness. We found no issues with the harness and elected to reinstall those back into the guitar. The guitar was also refretted with medium jumbo wire.

Changes aside, it's a truly excellent performer. The slim neck with larger taper is a joy to play, and feels very nicely broken in with decades of play time to show for it. The pickups provide that quintessential "T-Top" tone of the later 60s and early 70s humbuckers - bright, fat, and articulate, with enough muscle to keep up with heavier rock and an airiness that supports more nuanced clean tones for R&B and the like.

We simply can't stress enough how good this guitar sounds!

Condition: Vintage. Fully inspected and set up by TME staff before it ships or leaves the showroom.
