This 1951 Gibson J-50 is an exceptionally expressive-sounding example of the model. It's loud, crisp, and full in the midrange, with an almost built-in-reverb quality. As Gibson slope shouldered dreadnoughts from this period go, this one gets our standout marks for sound -- it's not quite as compressed as some others, and displays a beautiful complexity of tone.
Condition: this is a player's guitar that remains in very good overall condition. There's one repaired top crack; and the end pin, saddle, and tuners have been replaced. This guitar has been played a lot, and shows plenty of well-earned battle scars (though none of these are unsightly, and can certainly be chalked up to vibe). Priced with hardshell case.
