Fans of early blues and R&B will recognize this Golden Era Gibson hollowbody electric made famous by T Bone Walker, the much heralded ES-350. With its long scale, twin P90 pickups, and large maple laminate 3 1/2" deep body, the ES-350 represents the advancement of early Gibson electric hollowbodies in an amplified setting.
Taking its queues from the L5, this Venetian cutaway style steps out of the traditional carved archtop world with an all Maple-laminate construction, furthering the ability of a big box electric to withstand louder stage environments and more powerful amplifiers.
This is a great example of one of the last iterations of the dual-volume and master tone control arrangement, and offers a more simplified approach to blending and/or isolating the original P90 pickups to suit your preference. Well-played but also well-maintained, it's a supremely playable example that is lightweight and robust sounding. The original small frets were replaced with slightly larger fretwire some time ago, along with a new nut. The pickguard was also replaced while using the same mounting hardware. The tailpiece is a replacement, but the original rests inside the case.
It ships in its original 4-latch Lifton hardshell case which is in equally clean condition.
