Why We Love This
A Gibson Country Western is one of the most, how shall we say it ... Satisfying guitars in existence. The lack of pretense, coupled with its direct, warm, and focused sound lends itself to a certain kind of laid back rhythm guitar perfectly suited to both kinds of music (Country, and Western ... sorry!). Singer-songwriters and devotees of the Nashville Sound will swoon for this guitar's compressed chunk under a flatpick. It would sit beautifully in a mix, and offers a gutsy singer the perfect bed of sound over which to let loose. Aside from being a particularly good sounding example of the model, this '64 Country Western is in very good shape. It boasts the often-seen bridge modification (the original adjustable saddles have been replaced with a modern drop-in saddle). While there's plenty of expected lacquer checking, the body of the guitar is otherwise clean. Priced with non-original hard case (which does have one broken latch).
