This recent Froggy Bottom C Deluxe is one of the most responsive and beautiful-sounding fingerstyle guitars we've got in the shop. It would certainly serve a light strummer / flatpicker well, but its small body, short scale, and pyramid bridge invite a certain kind of delicacy that's rewarded with fat, clear, and complex sound. The voice is warm and shimmery, with a footprint firmly planted in old-Martin woodiness (and speaking of CFM, the uninitiated can think of the Froggy Bottom "C" shape as a 12-fret Martin 00). Deluxe appointments include curly Maple binding, Fleur-de-Lis fingerboard inlays, and premium 5A-grade Madagascar Rosewood typically reserved for direct commissions.
