Fender Vibrolux Reverb (1967)
Vintage
This Blackface Era 2x10 combo features a dual 6L6 power section that combines for tight, punchy low end and top end sparkle. The Vibrolux Reverb sounds great at pretty much any position on the volume control, making it a formidable studio and stage amplifier. This particular Vibrolux came loaded with a pair of Oxford 10" speakers - a 10L5 original to the amp and a 10L6 from 1968. These speakers are known for their woody top end, lean bass response, and lower dB efficiency, making them great a great pairing with a mid-powered amp where you want to tame some of the volume and also be able to get the amp into its sweet spot. Often underrated, these speakers sound great in this amp!
The amp was recently serviced by Stan Day, which included a recap and cleaning of pots and tube sockets as well as installation of replacement back panels from Mojotone. It includes its original two-button footswitch.
