Fender Vibrolux Reverb (1966)
Vintage
Recently brought in from its longtime owner on consignment, this Blackface Era 2x10 combo features a dual 6L6 power section that combines for tight, punchy low end and top end sparkle. The Vibrolux Reverb sounds great at pretty much any position on the volume control, making it a formidable studio and stage amplifier. This particular Vibrolux came loaded with Jensen C10N speakers from the factory; often considering the best speakers to accompany this model, they accentuate all of the tonal hallmarks of this beloved circuit.
The amp was recently serviced for the very first time since it left the factory, which included a recap and cleaning of pots, and tube sockets. One of the speakers had suffered a short to its voice coil lead and was reconed. The original tube preamp shields were lost at some point, so some Fender replacements have taken their place. A replacement upper back panel was also installed.
