This is a great example of the second generation Musicmaster, moving from the 22.5" scale length to 24.5" all while keeping the appointments and features to a minimum.
1966 Fender Musicmaster II in original Olympic White finish just into the shop!
These are super fun guitars to play, and the lower output Musicmaster pickup has its own identity compared to Strat and Tele pickups. Bright and sizzly with a leaner midrange sound, it's a great rhythm guitar that also excels at carving out a natural spot in a mix with other guitars.
This one's got its original Olympic White finish that has some beautiful lacquer checking throughout, and nice tortoiseshell pickguard that is crack free. It's been refretted here in our shop with vintage-style fretwire and plays great with a set of 11-49 strings on it. It once had what appears to be mini Schaller tuners on it, but proper vintage-style tuners were put back on.
The original and equally clean hardshell case is included.
