When Fender teams up with a legendary player like Johnny Marr for a signature model, you know it's going to yield a very cool instrument. What you don't expect is just how good the guitar is going to be.
While this isn’t a Custom Shop model, the sheer number of thoughtful upgrades had us double-checking the back of the headstock—just to be sure.
Custom specs include UK-made Bare Knuckle Johnny Marr pickups (which sound fantastic), a 4-way pickup selector, custom "bright" switches, a neck carve modeled after Johnny’s own 1965 Jaguar, a nitro finish, and an improved bridge/trem design.
These refinements make for one of the best-playing and best-sounding Jaguars we’ve had our hands on in a long time. The 7 1/4" radius keeps the feel authentically vintage—but let’s be real, you’re not grabbing a Jaguar for SRV or Buddy Guy-style bends. These short-scale beauties are built for chime, jangle, and rhythmic brilliance, making them a dream for “parts players” and rhythm guitarists alike.
Be sure to check out the included video, where Johnny Marr himself walks through the design and demonstrates the tone. Who better to showcase this Jaguar than the man behind it?
