1965 Fender Jaguar in original custom color Lake Placid Blue just into the shop!
It's been a while since we've had an original LPB Fender in the shop, and - my oh my - what a color! It presents beautifully on this mid-1965 offset, matching headstock and all.
The neck feel is a standout here, and maybe it's because of how well it plays with the fresh refret done by our own Glenn Nichols, or maybe it's because it's got just the right amount of play wear to feel broken-in...or both! There's a roundness to the carve that feels a little less oval than the typical shape we find during this period - somewhat closer to that of a '63 neck. We're getting into minutiae here, but it's worth noting. The neck pocket has been shimmed to get a solid break angle without altering the feel, too.
The original pickups are very nicely balanced and offer classic Jag tones with all original wiring throughout. The original pots date from the 30th week of 1965, aligning with the August neck date and late L-series neck plate.
Includes original 'no logo' black hardshell case.
