Description
Fender's 1962 "brownface" Princeton's touch sensitivity, incredible breakup, and legendary tremolo have been a longtime studio favorite of Grammy-award winning artist, Chris Stapleton. The hand-wired, 12-watt '62 Chris Stapleton Princeton features the classic 6G2 circuit, "blue" tone caps, Schumacher transformers, an upgraded Eminence 12 Special Design "CS" speaker, solid pine cabinet, and an output tube-biased tremolo circuit.
We've always loved the brownface-era Fenders, especially Princetons. They're a great hybrid of the ´50s tweed amps - with their pushed midrange, touch sensitivity, and dynamic range - and the punchy, scooped midrange, reverb drenched tones of the mid-´60s amps. Toss in a 12" speaker and you've got an amp that's brilliant for both home, studio, and gig use. Nicely done Fender and Chris Stapleton!
