This 1968 Epiphone El Dorado is just into the shop on trade! Produced in Kalamazoo, MI, from 1963 to 1970, the El Dorado is a spartanesque dreadnought offering that gave players lusting after a Gibson Country Western a more affordable option. This particular guitar has been gigged, played hard, and then some. Its sound is wide open and boomy; and it's a perfect choice for a player interested in a vintage guitar where sound supersedes cosmetics.
Condition: as mentioned, this guitar has been played for tens of thousands of hours and bears the wear and tear of a heavily gigged instrument. There are two repaired top cracks, and one repaired back crack. The original saddle has been replaced with a new tusq one, but the rest of the structural components are original. Suffice it to say, if you're looking for minty guitars, you should probably keep looking. But if you're in the market for a vibey vintage dreadnought well-suited to the Americana niche, this El Dorado could be a compelling option. Priced with hardshell case.
