Gently used Ellis A5 Special mandolin just in on trade! This is, essentially, a stock A5 Special, with the addition of a torrefied Red Spruce top ~ and that does amp up the already-great Ellis response and projection. To our ears, this mandolin has a touch livelier sound than other A5 Specials we have heard in recent years. Bluegrass players looking for an Ellis and not afraid to bring an A-style mandolin to the jam, have at it! Overall condition is excellent, with only very minor signs of handling present.
