Description
"It was 20 years ago today. . ." Or least when this Martin 35V Anniversary model came out. 1965 marks the year when the D-35 with its characteristic 3-piece Brazilian back, was first introduced. In 1985, Martin released this D35V as a limited series of 50 total guitars. Faithful to the original, it features a Sitka top with nicely figured, old-growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides and rear-shifted non-scalloped bracing. This is a lovely sounding D-35. With over 35 years behind it, the sound has started to take on a brilliance and fullness that we don't often hear in modern Martins. This is a non-adjustable truss rod model which also adds to its solid, crisp response. The neck is still very stiff with only about a .001" of relief, very nice action and a little bit of saddle available for adjustment. Solid, stable and ready to make some more music!
