Description
On paper, this gently used 2019 Collings I-35LC in Aged Tobacco Burst might read as a straight-up version of their semi-hollow. However, this guitar shares its lineage with the recently released 'Vintage' variant. A prototype you say? Not quite, but not far off. This is an early production variant of what would eventually become the I-35LC Vintage model.
Loaded with Throbak ESG-102B pickups, this I-35LC achieves the late PAF sound in spades, pushing a medium output humbucker tone that is rich with midrange punch and top end power. It's no coincidence that Collings decided on this Throbak variant for the Vintage series, as it highlights a lot of the Gibson-esque qualities in this recipe that brought this line to life.
Condition: Excellent. Frets are in great shape and the setup is fantastic. Light handling wear, but nothing beyond what we're used to seeing in a Collings with an aged finish.
Price includes original hardshell case.
