Beyond its obvious stunning looks, this 2015 Tiger Eye finished SoCo is a unique specimen. Why you ask? Usually these guitars are babied and rarely show wear when we take them in used...this example shows signs of being put into service.

We have to admit, we love seeing this and know that the builders we work with do too. These are gorgeous guitars, no question, and the temptation to keep them locked away is high, but they are instruments after all - they're supposed to be played, used, bumped around, and as the old saying goes, "the good ones get played."

New to the SoCo model? Jazz players will be right at home - we were getting some killer Bright Size Life-era Metheny tones (with the neck pickup and tone knob rolled back) - but rock and blues players would find lots to love as well. This is simply a killer, refined, incredibly well-made semi-hollow body guitar, period.

Plugged in, there's lots of beautiful top-end/acoustic snap to each note, lots of sustain, and and a general roundness to each note. The overall feel is very luxurious - smooth, easy to play, the perfect blend of slinky crossed with taut (this is somewhat akin to the feel of a great Telecaster). The neck is like a cross between a late 50s Gibson and a skinnier 60s era Gibson. Simply put, it's chunky but not so much that it would isolate lots of players.

The fit and finish are flawless. This beauty would be equally at home through a cranked Marshall or a more formal, black tie affair.

Condition: Very good. Light indentations and dings on the body, mild buckle rash on the back, no fret wear. Might sound worse than we intend it to - it's a well-cared for instrument, it's just been played a bit. Nothing more/less.
