While Collings doesn't make a 14-fret "000," it's possible to achieve a Martinesque end result by ordering an OM with a short scale ~ like this 2012 model just in for consignment. It's been upgraded with an Adirondack Spruce top; and aside from that feature and the aforementioned short scale, it's essentially a bare-bones OM2H. The sound is lovely, thanks to an open, mature voice, and that added warmth & roundness imparted by the short scale.
This guitar is in very good overall condition. While it's 11 years old, and it's been played, the structure is solid and the setup is excellent. The original saddle has been lowered at one point, but still provides adequate break angle; and some players with a more aggressive attack may even want the action higher than it is right now. The top of the guitar shows a few small dings and pickwear along the treble side edge of the pickguard. There's also a small area of finish wear in front of the bridge, where a pinky finger would rest. The back of the guitar shows minor shirt button imprinting, and the peghead has a few small dings from a stringwinder brushing against it. Overall? An excellent sounding, great-playing Collings OM2H for a player not bothered by a little cosmetic wear. Priced with TKL hard case. On consignment.
