This 2016 Collings OM features a lovely set of figured Mountain Cedar back & sides, which Collings no longer offers as an option on their tonewood menu. Tonally, it's a close comparison to Mahogany, with perhaps a hair more darkness in the low midrange. Overall condition is super-clean: there are a couple miniscule dings on the top which would be impossible to turn up in a photo, but hey -- it's a used guitar. It's been well take care of, properly humidified, and exhibits perfect geometry and structure. The takeaway? If you're in the market for a Collings OM and tend to prefer the voice of a mahogany guitar, this one should be at the top of your list. Strap button and K&K pure mini pickup added.
