Description

Brand new Collings OM-42 built on their "Traditional" platform and featuring a torrefied Adirondack Spruce top. Its gorgeous looks aside, this is about as sweet-sounding a Collings OM as you could hope for. The "Traditional" features, including thinner finish, thinner bridge plate, custom-scalloped Sitka bracing and uber-light tonewoods produce warmth and resonance that will stand toe-to-toe with a vintage guitar. And the torrefied top amplifies the responsiveness and dryness of the sound. This guitar seems to ring for days and takes a flatpick extremely well. Meticulous worksmanship, as we've come to expect from Collings. AND -- priced with one of their gorgeous vintage style hard cases.

In short, this is the total package in a modern guitar that pays homage to the great instruments of the 1930's. A shop favorite for sure!
