This 2008 MF5V is a fantastic example of Collings' stately F5 model, in the less common, but equally stunning Honey Amber finish!

What To Know

We've played a lot of Collings mandolins here at the shop, and these varnish-finished MF5s never cease to impress! With a nuanced, dry complexity, lively response, and excellent balance across the strings, this 2008 build is truly rewarding to play. And with a one-piece back, upgraded Waverly tuners and gorgeous honey amber finish, we think it looks pretty good too!

Condition: Re-fretted with EVO wire and flush-fret extension. K&K pickup installed. Aftermarket "speed neck" treatment. A few noticeable dings, most notably near the treble side F-hole and on the lower bout. Setup is spot-on and playing effortlessly!
