Description

A Collings I-35LC with Throbak '52/'54 P90's and '60's neck carve? You've got our attention...

We're huge fans of the I-35LC model with its flawless build quality, playability, and tones. Hard to want more in a semi-hollow body guitar, truthfully. We're also huge fans of P90 pickups. We've spoken to so many folks over the years and have noticed that a lot of players overlook P90s. Think of them as the best of both worlds pickup - the power, midrange, and fatness of a humbucker coupled with the definition and bite of a single coil pickup. Throbak's '52/'54 P90's are about as good as it gets, folks. Classic late '50's P90 goodness that we can't get enough of.

So...how does this differ from the standard I-35LC w/humbuckers? Take the versatility of a great humbucker equipped 335, cross it with a touch of a Fender's top-end bite and blend in a more pronounced midrange and midrange bite. Cool you say? Definitely. Very musical, inspiring tones.

The 60's neck carve is perfect for those looking for a slightly less chunky neck profile. The 60's carve measures .83-.92" vs the standard '59 carve's .86"-.98".

Want an ES-335 style guitar but want to mix it up a little? This is your guitar. Priced with hard case by Ameritage.
