The first-ever I-30 model to be released by Collings has made its way back to us, and is a great reminder of just how incredibly consistent this talented team of builders has been since day one.

Back in 2017 - 10 years after the release of the historic I-35 model - Collings released their fully hollow thinline "ES" style build in the I-30LC. Pulling its inspiration from the ES-330, it, too, provided players with a more refined and comfortable alternative to the venerable Gibson model. Supremely lightweight, resonant, and full of acoustic and electric tone, the I-30LC has enjoyed years atop its class.

This '17 I-30LC in Aged Faded Cherry happens to be the very first production model that Collings released! We originally sold this guitar new back in 2017, and it's since found its way back to us.

With just some light play wear to distinguish from the factory aging, it's a testament to Collings' unparalleled build quality and consistency. This one plays and sounds as good as ever, admittedly with some natural break-in that only time can serve up.

If history is any indicator of what Collings has done and continues to do in the guitar world, let it be known that this I-30 will hold a special place there. A modern-day classic without a doubt!
