This 2016 Collings D2H Traditional is just in for consignment! It features a host of options which are no longer obtainable from Collings: a baked Adirondack top, animal protein glue construction, original T-Series chunky neck shape, and, yes, a Collings handmade vintage-style case. It's also built with Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, in place of the standard Indian Rosewood (and while Collings does occasionally make this wood available, its supply is very limited). This is a total powerhouse of a guitar, capable of powering through the thickest mix with ease and also sounding warm and sweet in the confines of a studio. Looking for the most souped-up D2H Traditional out there? Here it is.
Condition: this is a guitar that's been played extensively these last eight years. And while the rosewood and torrefied top make much of the playwear unnoticeable, you'll discover it if you get out the magnifying glass. There's an area of pick wear near the treble edge of the soundhole (bear in mind these guitars have very thin finishes, and this wear won't buff out). There are also minor shirt button swirls on the back. Other than those elements, the guitar is in very good used condition; and it's ready to go for a player who can look past a few scratches in the name of tone. Priced with its original Collings-made vintage style hard case. On consignment; shipping calculated at checkout.
