A Collings D2H featuring Brazilian Rosewood back & sides and an Adirondack Spruce top is the coveted guitar of many flatpickers -- its monstrous sound and easy playability are the modern era's answer to the absence of another comparably priced stand-in for a 1930's Martin. This 2006 model is no exception to the rule, boasting incredible volume, robust yet focused bass, and the crackling mids that have become a hallmark of the Collings voice. Is it a killer bluegrass guitar? Yes, it is. But throw it into open D and break out your fingerpicks and you'll find that there's nothing this guitar can't do.
On the condition front, there's not a lot to report. This guitar is CLEAN. We don't use the "M" word when describing a pre-owned guitar, but this one is as clean as they come. Excellent overall shape, with no significant scratches, dings, or playwear. The frets and setup are, likewise, excellent. The guitar is priced with its original TKL case. On consignment.
