Description

The Collings City Limits effortlessly takes the classic Les Paul style guitar to a more refined place. Flawless finish work (read: no finish bleed in the binding), clean binding work, better ergonomics / balance, period-correct neck carves, old-school tones, excellent fretwork and playability...it's all here. 

This particular 2015 CL exhibits all of these qualities and caps it off with vintage Les Paul vibes via a gorgeous Ice Tea Burst finish. The flamed maple top has a subtle, 3-dimensional flame with just a touch of mineral streaking. The highly contoured mahogany body also features some gorgeous figuring, while the nicely figured rosewood fingerboard completes the look. 

Loaded with Throbak ER MXV pickups, this CL delivered some powerful, midrange drenched tones via a Carr Telstar. The bass was punchy and taut while the top-end remained clear without being sterile. 

Condition: Excellent. Only a few minor indentations / marks on the body and headstock along with very light fretwear are present. The setup feels great and all electronics work as they should.
