This CL is outfitted with Ron Ellis pickups, widely considered some of the greatest pickups in the industry. When you combine the build quality and feel of a Collings with Ron's pickups, we frankly don't know how much better you can get.

Noted by pickup guru Ron Ellis as having the brighter, more fundamental power of the a late PAF spec humbucker, the Bettes deliver tonal authenticity with a dynamic response very few pickup winders have been able to capture.

These are undoubtedly a phenomenal match in this CL Deluxe, with the ability to go from sweet and clear clean tones to roaring overdriven tones with ease. Ellis pickups prove to us that you can have your cake and eat it too.
