Pulling in some influence from modern-era builder aesthetics, this City Limits boasts a beautiful flamed Maple top and some of the best electric guitar pickups out there.
Why We Love This
"Deluxe" might signal more of an elevated aesthetic of sorts, which this City Limits surely showcases. But in this case, we're finding the tone is the most "Deluxe" of the offerings in this new CL.
The Ron Ellis LRP humbuckers have developed a reputation for redefining the tonal reference point for a modern-day PAF style pickup, and they simply back it up every...single...time. Loaded into a solidbody like this CL, it's remarkably clear and open, but ripe with harmonic energy and power. They reward players with unrivaled dynamic response, allowing for sweet clean tone to throaty, raw driven tones all with a change in pick attack.
The '59 Faded Crimson tends to be an overlooked choice on the CL these days, but we're reminded that it still works incredibly well when paired with the right plastics. It's a classic color on a sleek refined platform, marrying the modern with traditional in the right ways. The black plastics bring out more of the modern flair that we sometimes associate with Les Planks made by Michael Stevens - super cool!
Another fabulous Collings build with a fresh spec that keeps us wanting more guitars from our one of our favorite guitar builders!

Brand Story
"Every day we try to make a better guitar, every day. You're trying to reach for more, trying to do better, not trying to do the same. A lot of companies are trying to do the same, and that's okay - that's their deal. We're trying to stretch that. Our goal is a little more."
