This Collings C10, in beautifully figured Walnut and intensely 'Bearclawed' Sitka Spruce, is a rare in-house custom from the Collings workshop (we receive instruments like this every once in a great while, when Collings has some particularly nice tonewood and chooses to design something of their own with it). Although Walnut guitars from Collings are rare, we've ordered many smaller bodied guitars made from it over the years (the C10, 0, and Baby have all been popular) -- and we love it for its rich, punch sound. Coupled with a stiff piece of bearclaw Sitka, this little guitar is wonderfully versatile, with a warm-yet-well-defined voice suitable for flatpicking and fingerpicking alike.
