Almost 15 years ago, The Music Emporium sent a well-worn Martin 0-18 down to Collings and begged them to make a similar model. Bill Collings instantly heard the power these old 0's delivered and within a few months the first 01's made there way off the factory floor. These little acoustic titans still command respect in what has become an over-crowded small-body market. 

The 01 is more versatile than its size might suggest. Of course, it makes for a great fingerstyle guitar but it can also be aggressively strummed for old-time rhythm or picked at a bluegrass jam. Always comfortable and never overpowering, the 01 deserves a place in any world class guitar collection.
