While we have been duly impressed with all the Traditional Series Collings guitars to come through the shop, small-body mahogany models seem to particularly benefit from the "Trad" voicing and construction: lighter, more responsive, while retaining the power and articulation of a Collings.

This all-mahogany 001 Traditional possesses a warm, mellower tone than its spruce-topped counterpart. Bass notes speak with a dark, authoritative appeal, matched with a lovely, vocal midrange and direct, top-end clarity perfect for fingerstyle. An understated, classic beauty and very enjoyable player for the 12-fret aficionado.
