Well now. Does a banjo get more handsome than this one? Ryan Navey's Carolina Banjo Company has created quite a stir in the Instagram banjo niche alone. And when you actually get to play one of his instruments, there's a tremendously gratifying feeling that accompanies the first few notes: you haven't been suckered by the beautiful looks ~ these things sound great! (They play beautifully too.) Two thirds of our recent batch was snapped up before we could list it, but this 11" beauty remains available (though we do expect it to sell quickly). Rim and neck of figured cherry, with ebony caps and accents, and completely hand-carved neck heel, frailing scoop and headstock overlay. This is, quite simply, a lovely sounding banjo, whose mountain-inspired pluck will have you whiling away the hours and feeling inspired whether or not there's a stringband around you. Priced with hard case.
