Beard's Road-O-Phonic is a solid wood, resophonic guitar outfitted with both electric and acoustic pickups that you can run separately or (even cooler) blend to create a wide range of acoustic/electric tones.

Beard has come up with a design that works remarkably well in a variety of settings. Whether you're aiming for a convincing amplified dobro sound or a more modern lap-steel setup, you can dial in tones to suit your sonic palette.

The Road-O-Phonic has a three-pickup system with an on-board preamp powering a Fishman Nashville bridge pickup, paired with two Lollar pickups - a gold foil and P-90. The Road-O-Phonic can be played in mono or split into a stereo configuration. While there are very appealing sounds to be found in all the single positions, things get really fun when you blend the two Lollars, or mix the resonator's acoustic and electric pickups.
