"Forest to the stream"

This quote, written on the back of the headstock, sets the tone for our new, beautifully detailed, HT-Deluxe from CA-based master builder, Bill Asher.

Quick backstory of the T-Deluxe model...Using the Fender Telecaster as a starting point, Bill's T-Deluxe model - chambered in this case - sports an offset body which balances beautifully and adds a more deluxe feel than your average Telecaster. What remains is the versatility of a great Tele which is expanded upon by the inclusion of a Lollar Imperial humbucker in the neck position, a Lollar Special in the bridge position, and a 6 position Veritone switch.

With that as our base understanding, let's turn our attention to the gorgeous details Bill has included to help tell the "Forest to the stream" narrative:

A chambered Korina body topped by a rich, dark figured Rosewood top (bound) with hand-crafted ivoroid and stone knobs and an acrylic amber switch tip, African ebony fingerboard inlayed with silver rings and shell dots, which leads us to the star of the show - an elaborate Koi headstock inlay made from pearl and abalone. Just beautiful, beautiful stuff!

To be sure, this HT-Deluxe isn't just a pretty face - this is a fantastic guitar that is incredibly easy to play and sounds great played clean or overdriven (we were reminded a bit of the airy, open quality of a great 50s style Telecaster when playing through a Carr Sportsman). The Veritone is such a cool feature as it essentially alters the treble and midrange character of each pickup, which gives you SO many tonal options - P90-esq, archtop-esq, etc...it's really fun and inspiring to experiment with. 

It's a challenge to sum up your impression of a guitar in a quick write-up and we're only skimming the surface here, but suffice it to say, Bill has created a masterpiece with this beautiful HT-Deluxe. Not to be missed! Priced with hardshell case.
