Hidden Gems #4 | Each week the staff share their personal Hidden Gems from our inventory that they think should be on your radar. 

As part of the media team here at TME, I have the privilege of playing nearly every instrument that comes through our doors as we photograph them for the website, and I can confirm that picking just 10 instruments from our vast inventory is not an easy task! Like many of us on staff, I spend time in both the acoustic and electric sides of the shop, and my selections for this week are representative of my varied interests. Each item on this list is truly something that I could see myself using on a daily basis, or, in the case of the CT-55, Benson and SurfyVibe, is already one of my go-to’s. 

I’m a big fan of lively and responsive instruments, and if there is one common thread to this collection, I would say that it’s in the nature of “responsiveness.” From dynamic and touch-sensitive amps, to warm and open acoustic guitars, mandolins and banjos, I believe that these hidden gems are some of the most rewarding instruments that we have in the store at the moment. I’m always on the hunt for instruments that challenge and inspire me, providing new creative pathways and avenues of expression, and the following list is a sampling of such instruments that I’ve found particularly inspiring recently. I hope that you will find some inspiration in them as well.
