Description
Used F5 mandolin from Nashville-based luthier Dan Voight just into the shop! Dan is building exceptional instruments and this one is a fine example of his work. The sound is all there - deep woody low end, and a crisp, chimey top end. There's plenty of projection to cut through in a jam, and an overall harmonic complexity to the tone that makes it hard to put down.
Finished with a beautiful, dark sunburst varnish and appointed with abalone inlays, engraved James tailpiece and a gorgeous two-piece maple back. The V neck carve and excellent setup makes for a very comfortable and playable instrument.
In very good condition overall - there is some minor fret-wear on the first 6 frets or so and some very light finish marks on the top. Priced with original hardshell case.
