The A5 Special from Northfield is a perennial favorite here at the shop, and this gently pre-owned example reminds us just why we love them so much. Incorporating a master-grade Italian spruce top and hand-applied spirit varnish finish, this mandolin will stand its ground against any A model on the market. There's plenty of power on tap, without sacrificing warmth or openness, and playability is excellent after a fresh setup in our shop.
