Lauded builder 'Nacho' Banos has created the ultimate time-capsule experience with this brilliant 1949 Tele Prototype replica.

If you're an avid follower of vintage & boutique guitars - which we assume you are since you’re checking this out - you have likely heard of the builder 'Nacho' Baños.
Nacho has been making exceptional, highly sought after vintage replicas for years now and counts players like Julian Lage as customers. Nacho's builds are incredibly detail oriented - in fact, he's such a Tele devotee that he self-published a very comprehensive book on the subject entitled, "The Blackguard: A Detailed History of the Early Fender Telecaster Years 1950–1954." We think it's safe to say in the simplest of terms, you won't find a more accurate, painstakingly made replica F-style guitar.
If you're thinking that this doesn't look like a 'normal' Telecaster, you'd be correct - it doesn't. This build has us strapped securely in the way back machine, all the way back to a 1949 Fender prototype that would soon evolve into the Telecaster we know and love today.
What that means, ultimately, is Nacho chose Pine for the body (chambered, btw), a P Bass style control plate, and a single, incredible sounding, slightly microphonic lap steel style bridge pickup. Clearly not a "fancy" build. Barebones, in fact - but - it's ridiculously lightweight, resonant, and killer sounding. Inspiring, lively...and let's be honest, incredibly cool!
Nacho has also included a comprehensive packet in the case - a copy of the old Fender ledger books, etc...It really delves deeply into all things Fender, which for our money is the coolest thing about a Nacho build - you're getting as close to the history of this iconic brand as you can get. It really doesn't get much cooler.
