Martin's Style 51 baritone ukulele was only produced for a few years in the early 1960's; and they're (rightfully) sought-after additions to the collection of any uke enthusiast. They also make great "guitarist ukuleles," since the baritone tuning (D-G-B-E) makes it almost like a mini nylon-strung guitar (without the two lowest strings, of course). All solid Mahogany construction, with Brazilian Rosewood bridge and fingerboard. The sound is rich and warm, with the coveted old-Martin responsiveness.
This particular uke is an excellent example of the model, in lovely, original condition. It's been played, and sports a few scratches here and there (please see closeup photos), but mostly looks like it's been sitting in an attic for 60 years. What's more, it includes its very rare original hardshell case (just look at that cute little thing!).
